Elk Cove Vineyards
Founded in 1974, Elk Cove Vineyards is one of Oregon’s oldest and most respected wine producers. The family owned and operated winery maintains over 180 acres of estate vineyards at four separate sites in the Northern Willamette Valley and specializes in producing excellent handcrafted Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc wines. Elk Cove Vineyards used sustainable agricultural practices on all its vineyards and all fruit is hand harvested.
In August 2008, Tanner Creek Energy completed the design and installation of a 38.8 kW grid-tie roof-mounted photovoltaic system at Elk Cove Vineyards. This system will produce approximately 41,500 kWh of electricity per year and will reduce the winery’s carbon impact by an average of nearly 35 tons each year and by 776 tons over the 25 year life of the system.
