Established in 1984, Kramer Vineyards is located in the Yamhill-Carlton District – a newly created American Viticultural Area. The 20 acre vineyard produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Dijon Chardonnay, Muller-Thurgau and Carmine grapes, all used to produce Kramer wines. Kramer is proud of the fact that it has been a “Salmon Safe” vineyard for several years and is now certified sustainable by the LIVE organization.
In July 2008, Tanner Creek Energy completed the design and installation of a 3.6 kW grid-tie roof-mounted photovoltaic system at Kramer Vineyards. This system will produce approximately 3,850 kWh of electricity per year and will reduce the winery’s carbon impact by an average of 3.25 tons each year and by 72 tons over the 25 year life of the system.
